Kingdom Come: Deliverance is out for less than three days but it has already recorded a great success and is discussed all over the world. Even though the game experiences some minor problems and bugs, it has had an impressive launch with enormously great sales.
As you might know, Kingdom Come: Deliverance has already got an attention of thousands of fans during a Kickstarter campaign and more than 100,000 players pre-ordered the game during its development. And if we add more than 300,000 downloads on Steam and more than half of 350,000 physical copies delivered to retailers sold, we can count with more than half a million copies sold worldwide! On top of that, majority of Czech and German retailers have sold out the game entirely. Thus, it is clear the game is very successful.
All the statistics were revealed yesterday in the evening during a show broadcasted on a national Czech TV where a game designer Daniel Vávra appeared as a main guest. Vávra mentioned that a milestone of more than a million copies sold would be a great success for his Warhorse Studios. He also revealed that the developers would like to use the developed concept also in the future so it is very likely we could hear about a new historical game soon.
So, although the game must be still optimized (we should expect a big update in two weeks) and although some of reviewers decreased the final score because of these problems (average rating of 80 %), they admit it is a high-quality game with an untypical story and environment. This is also confirmed by the fact that on the day of its release, the game was Steam’s top seller, it was among top five most played games and recorded 75,071 concurrent players. Let’s just hope the game will be so successful also in the future and the sales will be even higher.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance is currently available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows.
