During the last year, several rumours were suggesting that there might be a Switch version of Hearthstone in preparation. This would make it the first console version of this game and it would make perfect sense to release the game on Switch since Hearthstone is ideal to play on a handheld when travelling. But as we’ve just found out, it’s not that true.
Blizzard is still refusing to officially comment a possible console version of Hearthstone but game designer Dean Ayala has stated that the developers were not working on a Nintendo Switch version and there were no plans to work on it.
So, even if it makes sense to release the game on Switch (instead of PlayStation 4 or Xbox One), the game seems to be still available only on Windows, macOS and mobile devices. However, it is definitely possible that Blizzard is just waiting when Nintendo Switch Online service launches in September. So, let’s just wait and see if Blizzard comes with a different statement at the end of 2018 or not.
