The current popularity of Fortnite from Epic Games is unbelievably high and it’s hard to guess how high it can get in the future. Due to that, it’s logical that the developers are trying to deliver the game to even more players and to release it on as many platforms as possible. It’s been not so long since the game was announced to be released also on mobile devices. Now, it’s time to release the game also on the console from Nintendo.
According to the latest speculations, it’s now nearly for sure that the Switch version of Fortnite will be released very soon and will be fully revealed during this year’s E3 2018. The first important rumour was a post of the 4Chan user who shared the picture of a plan with a layout of all the Nintendo showroom displays including the games presented at E3 2018. Immediately after that, all the Nintendo fans were looking forward to playing all the mentioned games such as FIFA 19, Paladins or Dragon Ball FighterZ. But most importantly, everyone was excited when they saw Fortnite on the list as well.
And even though this post might have been just a pure fake since some sort of leaflet could be created and printed by nearly everyone, now we got another much more reliable indicator that the game is in preparation. The Switch version of Fortnite has been rated by the Korean Game Rating Board. This institution has already leaked several different games in preparation such as the remastered version of Assassin’s Creed: Rogue so it could be stated this source is very reliable.
So, it seems that Fortnite is another game which was leaked or announced earlier than planned similarly to Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey and Fallout 76. Now, it’s just a question whether it is a full game including all the game modes or if the Switch version is somehow trimmed. Let’s wait for it.
Fortnite is currently available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows, and iOS while the Android and the Switch version should be released in a near future.
