Dark Souls: Remastered came out on 24th May in Japan and on 25th May in North America and Europe this year. Typical souls game comes under From Software studio under the patronage of Bandai Namco. Even now we have information, how many pieces were sold within a first week at retail around the whole world. The absolutely dominant platform is PlayStation 4 counting 207 060 units (90 %), followed by Xbox One platform with 24 098 units (10 %).
Studio From Software comes from Japan, so there is no doubt that the most pieces, from the region's perspective, were sold in Japan, counting 78 523 units (34 %). In Europe, sales came up to 64 191 units (28 %), and 52 650 units were sold in the US. Closer view on European countries, Dark Souls: Remastered is very popular in Great Britain where the sales got to 15 247 units. In Germany, it is 14 779 units and 8 632 units in France.
As we know, within four days 54 306 units were sold in digital form in Japan. Dark Souls: Remastered was published for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC platforms. Nintendo Switch users should get their version in the third quarter of the year 2018.
