We’ve been talking about Star Wars: Battlefront 2 much and even more than anyone expected and wanted. Problems with loot boxes, half-baked progression system and absurdly high prices of skins and new heroes. All these things were reported by players. Fortunately, the developers have already fixed some of these problems and are trying to improve the game even more. Today, DICE has announced new additional plans.
According to the developers, we should expect “significant changes” but detailed info will cone during March. Nevertheless, we got to know that a lot of changes in the progression system should arrive together with a new game mode called ‘Jetpack Cargo’. This mode will offer competition between 16 players divided into two teams and being equipped with a jetpack. More information is coming soon.
One of the biggest questions is also the decision whether to bring back microtransactions or not. After the virtual currency ‘Crystals’ was removed from the game shortly after the release, the developers would like to slowly incorporate it back to the game. As they stated, they had learned much from the season one so they will use all the knowledge to make the season two as good as possible.
Finally, DICE has also mentioned several statistics regarding The Last Jedi. Since its release, more than 10 million quests have been completed while about 58 % of players chose the First Order as one of two possible fractions. The remaining 42 % of players chose the Resistance.
So, we are very excited to hear more about the promised “significant changes” in March and we hope all the changes will be the right ones.
