Although the Call of Duty series from Activision is popular mainly thanks to the great and funny multiplayer, it is still common that it also contains a singleplayer campaign whose story is sometimes surprisingly good. But now it looks like nothing lasts forever and that we can expect big changes in the new episode.
According to unofficial sources, the developer Treyarch has problems to finish the singleplayer campaign in the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 game soon enough before the game is released so Activision might have decided to completely remove it which means it might be for the first time in the series history that a Call of Duty games lacks the campaign. On the other hand, this should ensure that the game will be focused even more on cooperation resulting in an expanded multiplayer and an advanced Zombie mode.
This is also in a good agreement with another source which states that the missing campaign will be replaced by a currently popular Battle Royal mode in order to include the latest trends among current players. At the same time, this could confirm all the previous predictions of analytics who were assuming that the new Call of Duty episode might contain a Battle Royale mode very likely.
However, if the whole information is true or not, that’s totally unclear for now so take the whole article just as a rumour. On the other hand, we hope we will find out soon the real facts because the game should be fully revealed on 17th May as claimed during the official announcement of Black Ops 4.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will be released on 12th October 2018 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows.
