To be a writer isn't easy, to create an own world with made-up characters in the space in which the entire plot takes place with a connection on a sequel, it may take a man several months or years. Alan Wake could tell, he hired out a cottage in the middle of the island in Bright Falls where he goes with his wife to create anything special after long two years. Immediately after arrival, he tries to get to work, but his wife is being lost under the water, and he jumps in too to save her. Subsequent progress in the game you explore manuscripts piece by piece which he has written by himself earlier. Fight with a dark begins, and there is not enough light ever then.
For now, it doesn't look like a sequel for Alan Wake would be coming, but at least we should get TV adaptation. The showrunner and writer will be Peter Calloway who stand behind TV shows such as Legion, Under the Dome and Cloak & Dagger. Sam Lake, the creator of Alan Wake, will be a part of the team too. Available information tells Sam Lake is a huge part of the whole team.
However, in TV adaptation we will see a completely new story based on the Alan Wake game, but it will go deeper than the game ever did.
“The story of the original game is our starting point, the seed which will grow into the bigger story we’re exploring in the show. We’ll be expanding the lore of this crazy and dark universe and diving deeper into certain aspects of it than the game ever did.”
The words by Sam Lake are impressive and attractive to every human who ever tried a chapter in Alan Wake to watch a new TV show. Certainly, it is too early to do premature endings, but Sam also expressed himself about a sequel to this awesome game.
“At the moment, there is no news of any further Alan Wake games. As before, we’re exploring these possibilities and hoping to make it happen when the time is right.”
