Resident Evil VII: Biohazard from Capcom did not record a strong start at the time of its release especially because of some unusual game elements which were very different compared to other episodes of the series. However, later on, players found out that the game is very good so the sales started to rise while they were also even more increased when the GOLD edition of the game with all the DLCs was released. Now, we’ve just found out the game had reached another milestone.
In a recent press release, Capcom announced that the sales of Resident Evil VII: Biohazard had passed 5 million units. This makes the game very successful if we consider it’s out only for about a year. On the other hand, the game is still not as popular as some of the previous episodes because Resident Evil 5 with 7.2 million units sold is still the most successful episode in the series.
Except for the above-mentioned announcement, Capcom also celebrated winning the award for Best VR Audio at the 2018 Game Audio Network Guild Awards (G.A.N.G. Awards). Undoubtedly, the audio of the VR version is perfectly created.
Resident Evil VII: Biohazard is currently available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows.
