It’s been just a couple of weeks since the developers from Ninja Theory officially announced that the successful game Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice would be released also on Xbox One. And since the release date was 11th April, the game is already out on Xbox One starting today. On the occasion of such event, the developers prepared an interesting challenge for all Xbox One owners.
Ninja Theory has mentioned in the official Tweet that if the game was successful and more than 50,000 copies were sold in one week since the release on Xbox One, the company would donate $25,000 to the Mental Health America charity organization. If the game is successful even more and at least 100,000 copies are sold until 18th April, the developers will donate $50,000!
By this step, the developers of Hellblade have come with another untypical but very nice gesture because they already donated some money when Mental Health Awareness Day was celebrated last year. Moreover, Ninja Theory is a studio which was able to prepare a great AAA title even with a lower number of developers while the final price of the game was lower compared to AAA games from big companies.
Thus, Ninja Theory showed us that if you are passionate enough and you love the development and the story of the game, you can create a big AAA title even with a lower budget and still earn enough money to donate some of them to charity organizations. So, we just hope other studios will be also inspired by this concept in the future because this is something that every player must appreciate.
Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is currently available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Windows.
