The Witcher is one of the most required brands at present. Thanks to a new Netflix adaptation which has been viewed by more than 76 million viewers across the whole world. Thanks to this series it raised on the second place of favourite series of Netflix streaming service, it was overcome only by Stranger Things. The series also started the interest in the game released in 2015 which was played by more than 27 000 gamers at one time, what was 100 % growth in comparison to the day of release.
The combat system from Blaviken, as you can see in the video, is analysed in detail by the main protagonist Henry Cavill, in which Geralt of Rivia gains the nickname "Butcher from Blaviken". The entire combat system choreography was prepared by Wolfgang Stegemann who became friends with Cavill during shooting Mission Impossible: Fallout. Rest of combat scenes in the series was under the baton of Vladimír Furdik (Night King from GoT), but the combat fights did not reach such quality, so that's why above mentioned Furdik will be replaced by Stegemann in the next series. Henry describes how hard he had to exercise when shooting at one shoot where even the merest mistake in entire footage led to be shredded. He also explains how much they had to make a pretence of fighting due to the short swords and sometimes they had to miss the opponent's head of Renfri, portrayed by Emma Appleton, only by two centimetres. In total, the whole combat system he compares it to dancing, where every step must be perfectly accurate. Check out the attached video even with Czech subtitles.
