Developers from Ninja Theory can celebrate because sales have reached such numbers that the game is paid and currently earns. The biggest surprise for developers is that their team created an "AAA game" with only 20 developers. Since the game has already been tested by 500,000 people, it means Hellblade is celebrating success and enthusiasm in the studio.
Developers expected that the game would cover the cost within 9 months, but within three months the limit managed to humiliate. The team of developers did not promise at all in mid-August that their relatively controversial title would reach so many players in November. We are talking about controversy due to the character of the main heroine, which could have been the main cause of Hellblade not celebrating success, but the developers would be thinking about where they made a mistake and whether they did not make a mistake with the heroine. Commercial success, however, tells everyone that developers have received positive reviews and positive feedback.
Let's also mention Hellblade in numbers:
- 250,000 copies sold during the first week on PS4 and PC (150,000 copies expected).
- Now sold more than 500,000 pieces and the game becomes profitable.
- Current earnings of $ 13 million ($ 273 million)
Studio Ninja Theory explains and believes that the AAA India model they have introduced can be successful for other studios and therefore documents the development of the game in more than 30 development journals (videos). In the video below, you'll find the 30th part and Hellblade's final development journal: Senua's Sacrifice.
