Madmind Studio is on the scene again, and at the end of October on Halloween, it is going to release a new version of earlier released Agony, titled Agony Unrated. In comments on Kickstarter, the developers started talking about the problems why they couldn't release the uncensored game because they were tied with publisher's contract and due to other circumstances.
If we remember on Agony, it has met with tepid acceptance by players with negative feedback describing nice depict of the hell, but after some time it has a negative effect, without vigour and any invested effort. The censored scenes had to be cut, so we couldn't have relished the hell atmosphere during the journey through the darkness. The developers admit that cut off certain scenes has disrupted the atmosphere of the entire game.
Agony Unrated will be released on Steam only for Windows PC platform because definite rules of Microsoft with Xbox One and Sony with PlayStation 4 are stated like the game cannot be released in this phase to be available on the consoles. In term of time, the developers admit they would establish communication with both sides on a limited version of the game that could be released. In Agony Unrated, let's hope, they developers learned more about the negative reviews and feedback to release the title at the end of October which the backers on Kickstarter and fans of the hell deserve. In accordance to available sources, owners having Agony in the library on Steam should get 90% discount on Agony Unrated and backers on Kickstarter should get the game for free.
The journey right to the hell begins on 31st October on Windows PC platform.
